You’ve likely picked up on a number of things about me during the past few months of preaching. I grew up in Iowa, however I’ve lived in Kansas City now for 13 years.  I went to the     University of Northern Iowa, graduating with degrees in  Elementary and Middle Level Education.  I attended Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary where I graduated with my Masters of Divinity. I am ordained as a Deacon, which means that I am called to Word, Service, Compassion and Justice.  By now, you’ve hopefully met my husband Brian and my newly 2 year old daughter Tabitha.  We also have an ornery and adorable   rescue dog.  Reading books, especially mysteries, is one of my favorite pastimes along with going on family walks.  This time of year, I also love to watch holiday    movies, I especially love the cheesy ones!  

Parents enjoyed a complementary breakfast of donuts, cinnamon rolls, or butterscotch coffee cake, as well as coffee or hot chocolate. They also completed a survey to help better the services Baby Grace provides. 

Grace United Methodist will be hosting Souper Supper on Thursday Nights. Our menu this year looks a little something like this:
January 29th: Taco Soup, Tortilla chips, and cookies
February 26th: Sloppy Joe's, tater tots, and cookies 
March 26th: Spaghetti & breadsticks, and a cookies

Here at Grace United Methodist Church we know how important it is to support our local food pantry. On the first Sunday of every month we have made it a goal to fill a shopping cart full of non perishables to donate to the Higginsville Food Pantry at Salem. Thank you to our congregation for your continuous donations.
